I realise the first step towards counselling is not easy. I know it can be difficult to ask a stranger for help, so I do everything I can to make the process straightforward and welcoming and try my very best to provide effective and accessible support to my clients.
My private practice is set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside of Lymm. Sessions take place in a lovely light and peaceful room where you will feel relaxed and welcome. Clients value the anonyminity and confidentiality of my home practice.
I have unparalleled experience working with children, young people and adults.
I am a fully qualified counsellor regulated by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and was a Mental Health Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse within the NHS for over 35 years.
I’m trained and experienced to help people work through their issues in a confidential and professional way. I work within the BACP and NMC codes of ethics and receive regular supervision, giving you reassurance that I am an ethical practitioner. I also carry professional indemnity insurance and I have an enhanced police disclosure.
As a counsellor I believe in the person centred ethos; that everybody, given the right environment, has the ability to grow. I offer clients a safe, non judgemental & confidential environment to explore their problems, to allow them to make changes, heal old wounds, make peace with the past, and accept and embrace who they are.
I feel it is really important to offer flexibility according to my clients needs. I work with a wide range of different clients and issues and I feel the most important aspect of successful therapy is the relationship between client and counsellor.
